PAPAS FRITAS: "VERTICAL LIVES"

Un clásico de los grandiosos papas. Atención que lo que se indica como "A" no es el La común de todos los días, sino el indicado en el esquema, que suena mucho mejor y hace más fácil el ir y venir de ése al Dsus2/6.

Intro: Tab.

|D| Breathe it out |G| I can hear you now
You think reality’s |F#m| shut you down
|D| And you’re locked away |G| where you can’t get out
Spent awhile on your |F#m| back

In the course of a history, hey, it all makes sense to me |F#m| somehow
|D| And it’s not what it used to be, no
|G| We’re suddenly free to let go and look what’s happening |A| now

......You will love this one, you will love this |D| one
......As if we |G| create something magical, |A| honey
......There are times that come, these are times that |D| come
......Only once in your |G| life, or twice like |D| mine

Do you wish to love, |G| can you give enough
Use your saving |F#m| graces
|D| In the heavy light |G| ‘til the sky falls down
He can pray all he |F#m| likes

|D| But you know what it means to me, |G| babe
In the course of a history, hey, it all makes sense to me |F#m| somehow
|D| It’s a course in philosophy, yeah
|G| What is life is it just a dream, no, a perfect mystery but |F#m| somehow I know

......|A| You will love this one, you will love this |D| one
......As if we |G| create something magical, |A| honey

THE DUCKWORTH-LEWIS METHOD: "MEETING MR. MIANDAD"

Intro: |D - D/C# - D/B - D/A - G - G/F# - Em - C7| - |D|

|D| Woke up from a dream, Thursday |F#m| morning
|C| Mr. Miandad to me was |Em| calling, yeah |A4 - A|

|D| Everywhere we go, people |F#m| know us
|C| When we lose our way, people |Em| show us |A4 - A|
|D| When we break down, people |F#m| tow us
And |C| send us on our way with a |G| smile and a little |A4| wave, hey, hey, |A| hey

......We're |D| meeting Mr. Miandad, |E| meeting Mr. Miandad
......|G| When we get to Pakistan, |Bm| in our VW |A| Camper Van

We'll |F| shake him by the hand, and he'll say |Am| "wait there,

Intro 2: |C# - C# - C# - B6/C#|

|C#| I can't see you but I |C#| know you're there.
|C#| Got to get beside you cos it's |B6/C#| really cold out here.
|C#| Come up close to me you'll |C#| soon be warm.
|C#| Hold me tightly like we're |B6/C#| sheltering from a storm. |C#|

|B6/C#| Aaah - |A6/B| Aaah x 2 - |C - D| x 2

......|F#m| Think I might go out for a stroll
......|Bm| Into the night, and out of this hole. Maybe find me a |C#m| meal.
......|F#m| Walking along this new shag pile
......|Bm| Presents a problem all the while.
......Nearly the |C#m| door. |C - Em/B|

............|Am| Sudden- |G| ly he |Am| bumps into wood, the door is closed.
............A voice from the bed, he'll be exposed.
............|G#| Which way to run, must make for the hole,
............The |Fm7| light's been turned on,
............he's blind as a mole in |G| coal. |Em|
............|Eb| Now I can see they're coming at me,
............They've blocked off my door, I haven't a chance in |D| hell. |D6|

|C#| Come on baby let the |C#| poor thing go.
|C#| I'm not sleeping with that |B6/C#| thing around here, no.

......|F#m| The door's been opened, my chance to escape.
......|Bm| Must run out quick, better sorry than late. I'm out on the |C#m| stairs.
......|F#m| They won't catch me now, I've the run of the house now.
......I'll |Bm| make it downstairs and into the breadbin.
......That would be |C#m| nice. |C - Em/B|

............|Am| Sudden- |G| ly he |Am| bumps into fur, that's very unwise,
............A cat is much quicker than men and their eyes.
............The |G#| chase that ensues can have only one end,

............|Eb| But now the cat comes in for the kill,
............His paw is raised, soon blood will spill, |D| yes it will. |D6|

|C#| Hard luck mouse, this is the |C#| end of your road.
The |C#| signpost says inside me, let me |B6/C#| bear your heavy load.
|C#| But it's not to be, that |C#| final pounce
|C#| Knocks a jar upon his |B6/C#| head, and lays him out. |C#|

|B6/C#| Aaah - |A6/B| Aaah x 2 - |C - D| x 3

......|C| But |D| it's |G#| all in a |F| mouse's |G| night
......To take |G#| on all |F| those who would |G| fight.

ANNIE LENNOX, "WHY"

Saluti a tutti.

|C| How many times do I |Em/B| have to try to |Am| tell you
That I'm |F| sorry for the |C| things I've done |Em/B - Am - F| |G|

But |C| when I start to try to tell you |Em/B|
That's when you have to tell me
|Am| Hey... this kind of |F| trouble's only
|C| just beg-|Em/B|-un, ye-|Am|-ah |F| |G|

|D| I tell myself too many |Bm7| times
Why don't you ever learn to |F#m| keep your big mouth |G| shut |A|
|D| That's why it hurts so bad to |Bm7| hear the words
That keep on |F#m| falling from your |G| mouth

......|Fmaj7| Falling from your mouth
........|D7/9| Falling from your mouth... Tell me...

............|C| Wh---|Em/B - Am|---y |F| |G|
............|C| Wh---|Em/B - Am|---y |F| |G|

|C| I may be mad, I may be |Em/B| blind
I may be viciously un-|Am| kind, but I can |F| still read what you're
|C| thinking |Em/B - Am - F - G|

|C| And I've heard it said too many |Em/B| times that you'd be better off
Be-|Am| sides... Why can't you |F| see this boat is
|C| sinking (this boat is |Em/B| sinking, this boat is |Am| sinking |F|)|G|

|D| Let's go down to the water's |Bm7| edge
we can |F#m| cast away those |G| doubts |A|
|D| Some things are better left un-|Bm7| said
But they still |F#m| turn me inside |G| out

......|Fmaj7| Turning inside out
........|D7/9| Turning inside out... Tell me...

............|C| Wh---|Em/B - Am|---y |F| |G| Tell me...
............|C| Wh---|Em/B - Am|---y |F| |G|

|C| This is the book I never read
|Em/B| These are the words I never said
|Am| This is the path I'll never tread
|F| These are the dreams I'll dream instead
|C| This is the joy that's seldom spread
|Em/B| These are the tears, the tears we shed
|Am| This is the fear, this is the dread
|F| These are the contents of my head
|C| And these are the years that we have spent
|Em/B| And this is what they represent
|Am| And this is how I feel
|F| Do you know how I feel
|C| 'cause i don't think you know |Em/B|
|Am| I don't think you know what I feel |F| |G|
|C - Em/B| I don't think you know what I fear |Am - F - G|
|C| You don't know what I fear
