STING: "SEVEN DAYS"

Una del gran Ten Summoner's Tales, en su tono original (queda un poco alta para la voz, pero pasada a otros tonos es verdaderamente una cagada, así que a aguantársela).

|C| Seven days was all she wrote, a |Eb6| kind of
ulti-|Bb2| matum note, she |G| gave to me, she |F| gave to me
|C| When I thought the field had cleared, it |Eb6| seems
another |Bb2| suit appeared to |G| challenge me, |E| woe is me

|C| Though I hate to make a choice, my |Eb6| options are
de-|Bb2| creasing mostly |G| rapidly... |F| Well we'll see
|C| I don't think she'd bluff this time, I |Eb6| really have to
|Bb2| make her mine, it's |G| plain to see, it's |E| him or me

......|F| Monday, |D7| I could wait till |G| Tuesday
......If |E| I make up my |Am| mind
......|F| Wednesday would be |G| fine,
......|E| Thursday's on my |Am| mind
......|Bb2/11| Friday'd give me |Am| time,
......|Bb2/11| Saturday could |Am| wait,
......but |Fm7+| Sunday'd be too |C| late |C|

|C| The fact that he's six feet ten might |Eb6| instill fear
in |Bb2| other men, but |G| not in me, the |F| mighty flea
|C| Ask if I am mouse or man, the |Eb6| mirror squeaked,
a-|Bb2| way I ran, he'll |G| murder me in |E| time for his tea

|C| Does it bother me at all, my |Eb6| rival is
Ne-|Bb2| anderthal, it |G| makes me think, per-|F| haps I need a drink
|C| IQ is no problem here, we |Eb6| won't be playing
|Bb2| Scrabble for her |G| hand I fear, I |E| need that beer

......|F| Monday, |D7| I could wait till |G| Tuesday
......If |E| I make up my |Am| mind
......|F| Wednesday would be |G| fine,
......|E| Thursday's on my |Am| mind
......|Bb2/11| Friday'd give me |Am| time,
......|Bb2/11| Saturday could |Am| wait,
......but |Fm7+| Sunday'd be too |C| late |C|

............|Fm7+/Bb| Seven days will |C| quickly go
............|Fm7+/Bb| The fact remains, |C| I love her so
............|Fm7+/Bb| Seven days, |Fmaj7| so many ways
............|Fm7+/Bb| But I can't run a- |C| way
............|Fm7+/Bb| I can't run a- |C| way

......|F| Monday, |D7| I could wait till |G| Tuesday
......If |E| I make up my |Am| mind
......|F| Wednesday would be |G| fine,
......|E| Thursday's on my |Am| mind
......|Bb2/11| Friday'd give me |Am| time,
......|Bb2/11| Saturday could |Am| wait,
......but |Fm7+| Sunday'd be too |C| late |C|

GENESIS: "THE LAMIA"

Si no es lo mejor que hizo Gabriel en su vida, que no valga. Gabriel y Banks, seguramente, miti-miti. Está bajada un semitono, para hacerla más tocable. Es brava pero no imposible, dándole un poco sale.

|Bb/D| The scent grows |C6| richer, he |Bb6| knows he must be |Am7| near,
He
|Eb/G| finds a long |F6| passageway lit by |Gm/E| chandelier.

|Bb/D| Each step he takes, the |C6| perfumes change
from fa-|Bb6| miliar fragrance to |Am7| flavours strange
|Eb/G| A magnificent |F6| chamber meets his |Em7| eye |Ebmaj7|

Inter: |Gm - Cm7 - Bb - Cm7 - Dm7 - Ebmaj7|

|Bb/D| Inside, a long |C6| rose-water pool is |Bb6| shrouded by fine |Am7| mist
|Eb/G| Stepping in the moist |F6| silence,
with a |Gm/E| warm breeze he's gently kissed

|Bb/D| Thinking he is |C6| quite alone, he |Bb6| enters the room, as if it |Am7| were his own
But |Eb/G| ripples on the |F6| sweet pink water
Re-|Gm/E| veal some company un-|Em| thought of

......|Bm| Rael |G| stands as-|Bm7| tonished |G| doubting his |A6| sight
......Struck by |Gmaj7| beauty, gripped in |D| fright
......|Bm| Three ver-|G| milion |Bm7| snakes of |G| female |A6| face
......The smallest |Gmaj7| motion, filled with |D| grace |D - E|

............|F#m| Muted |C#m| melodies |E| fill the |Bmaj7| echoing |C#| hall,
............|F#m| But there |C#m| is no |E| sign of |Bmaj7| warning
............|E| in the |Bsus2| siren's |C#| call:

............|F#m| Rael |C#m| welcome, |G#m| we are the |Ebm| Lamia
............|Bbm| of the |Fm| po--|Cm - Gm|--ol
............|G#| We have been |Eb| waiting |G#| for our |Eb| waters
............to |Fm| bring you |Cm| cool |Fm - C - Dm - A - Dm - A7sus4 - A*|

Instr. (solo piano): |D7sus2 - Cmaj7| x 3 - |Cmaj7/A - Cm11|

|Bb/D| Putting fear be-|C6| side him, he |Bb6| trusts in beauty |Am7| blind
He |Eb/G| slips into the |F6| nectar,
leaving his |Gm/E| shredded clothes behind.

|Bb/D| With their tongues, they |C6| test, taste and judge |Bb6| all that is |Am7| mine
They |Eb/G| move in a |F6| series of caresses
that |Em7| glide up and down my |Ebmaj7| spine

Inter: |Gm - Cm7 - Bb - Cm7 - Dm7 - Ebmaj7|

|Bb/D| As they nibble the |C6| fruit of my flesh, |Bb6| I feel no |Am7| pain
|Eb/G| Only a |F6| magic that a |Gm/E| name would stain

|Bb/D| With the first drop of my |C6| blood in their veins
Their |Bb6| faces are convulsed in |Am7| mortal pains
The |Eb/G| fairest cries "We |F6| all have loved you |Gm/E| Rael" |Em|

......|Bm| Each |G| empty |Bm7| snakelike |G| body |A6| floats
......Silent |Gmaj7| sorrow in empty |D| boats.
......|Bm| A |G| sickly |Bm7| sourness |G| fills the |A6| room
......The bitter |Gmaj7| harvest of a dying |D| bloom |D - E|

............|F#m| Looking for |C#m| motion I |E| know I |Bmaj7| will not |C#| find,
............I |F#m| stroke the |C#m| curls now |E| turning |Bmaj7| pale,
............in |E| which I'd |Bsus2| lain en-|C#| twined

............|F#m| Oh |C#m| Lamia, your |G#m| flesh that re-|Ebm| mains
............I will |Bbm| take as my |Fm| fo--|Cm - Gm|--od
............|G#| It is the |Eb| scent of |G#| garlic that |Eb| lingers
............on my |Fm| chocolate |Cm| fingers |Fm - C - Dm - A - Dm - A7sus4 - A*|

Instr. (solo piano): |D7sus2 - Cmaj7| x 3 - |Cmaj7/A - Cm11|

|Bb/D| Looking be-|C6| hind me, the |Bb6| water turns icy |Am7| blue
The |Eb/G| lights are dimmed and |F6| once again the |Gm/E| stage is set for you

Final: |Bb/D - C6 - Bb6 - Am7 - Eb/G - F6 - Gm/E| rep. y desaparece

Cancionaza, fácil y placentera. Original en Gm. Bm11 es x 24430.

|Em| Can you imagine this? An |D6| itch too sensitive to scratch
The |Em| light that falls through the cracks... an |D6| insect too delicate to catch

............And I can't look |C| back, |D| fingers of love move |A| down

|Em| Colour is its own reward, |D6| colour is its own reward
The |Em| chiming of perfect chord, |D6| let's go jumping overboard

......Into |G| waves of joy and clarity your |D| hands come out to rescue |A7| me
......And I'm |G| playing in the sallow water |D| laughing
......while the mad dog |A7| sleeps

............And I can't look |C| up, |D| fingers of love move |Em| down
............And I can't look |C| back, |D| fingers of love move |A| everywhere
............And there is time |C| yet, |D| fall by the way

............From the |A| cradle to the grave, from a palace to the gutter
............Be-|A| neath the dying waves of the sun lie fingers of...

Inter: |Em - Bm11|
         ...love

......Through |G| waves of joy and clarity a |D| fallen angel walked on the |A7| sea
......And I'm |G| playing in the sallow water |D| laughing
......while the mad dog |A7| sleeps

............And I can't look |C| up, |D| fingers of love move |Em| down
............And I can't look |C| back, |D| fingers of love move |A| everywhere
............And there is time |C| yet, |D| for you to find me |Em|
............And all I |C| want, |D| fingers of love move |Em| down
