GENESIS: "I KNOW WHAT I LIKE (IN YOUR WARDROBE)"

Genesis - I Know What I Like .mp3

Found at bee mp3 search engine

|D| It's one o'clock and time for lunch. Dum de dum de dum.
When the sun beats down and I lie on the bench
I can always hear them talk

|D| There's always been Ethel:
|C/D| "Jacob, wake up! You've got to tidy your |D| room now."
|D| And then Mr. Lewis:
|C/D| "Isn't it time that he was out on his |D| own ?"
|D| Over the garden wall, |C/D| two little lovebirds - cuckoo to |D| you!
|D| Keep them mowing blades sharp ...

......I
|Cmaj7| know what I |D| like,
......and I |Gmaj7| like what I know
......Getting |Cmaj7| better in your |Gmaj7| wardrobe,
......stepping |Cmaj7| one beyond your...

............|D| show |Gm/D - D - Gm|
............|D - Gm/D - D - Gm|
............|D - Gm/D - D - Gm| (Your |D| show)

Inter: |D - C/D| x 2
...........la la la la la...

|D| Sunday night, Mr. Farmer called, said
|C/D| "Listen son, you're wasting time
There's a
|D| future for you in the fire escape trade
|C/D| Come up to town!"
But I re-
|D| membered a voice from the past:
|C/D| "Gambling only pays when you're winning"
- I
|C/D| had to thank old Miss Mort for schooling a |D| failure
|D| Keep them mowing blades sharp ...

......I |Cmaj7| know what I |D| like,
......and I |Gmaj7| like what I know
......Getting |Cmaj7| better in your |Gmaj7| wardrobe,
......stepping |Cmaj7| one beyond your |D| show |Am7| (aaah |G| aaah)

......I |Cmaj7| know what I |D| like,
......and I |Gmaj7| like what I know
......Getting |Cmaj7| better in your |Gmaj7| wardrobe,
......stepping |Cmaj7| one beyond your...

............|D| show |Gm/D - D - Gm| x 2
............|D - Gm/D - D - Gm|

|D| When the sun beats down and I lie on the bench
I can always hear them talk
Me, I'm just a lawnmower - you can tell me by the way I walk

Final: |D - C/D| x 3 |D|
